Hair New Era

I first saw her Atelier Versace dress from the side and thought, this silver hedgehog on her shoulder is a strange choice, but I don’t hate it. It’s actually pretty interesting.
Then I saw that she has another one crawling on her hip, and that’s one too many for my liking. The dress itself is gorgeous though.

I have conflicting feelings towards Lady Gaga. After hearing “Poker Face” and “Paparazzi” on Gossip Girl they went straight to my Top 25 most listened. Then she became famous and I thought her style was really original. Cute, right? Amazing. I love it! Um… okay. Uh, no. Right. I didn’t get the whole “She’s not wearing any trousers! Oh my God, put something on!” thing, but not wearing a shirt either is taking it a bit too far. There is something disturbing about meeting your underage fans in what is essentially underwear.
The problem is that everything devalues over time. If you want to keep shocking then you have to go a bit further every time. Pictures from thesuperficial.com
But her songs are seriously catchy. And that’s the thing: she’s talented, she doesn’t need to look ridiculous every time she leaves the house just to be noticed.
Some of her crazy outfits actually look good, though. They’re like art. But art shouldn’t be worn when you’re giving an interview or out on the town. Art belongs in a museum, on the runway, possibly also on the stage, and obviously in a book.
Which is why I was thrilled to find out that The Book of Gaga has been published. This seems like the coolest coffee table book ever. Too bad it was only available in the Super Deluxe "The Fame Monster" Pack which among other things also contained a paper doll collection(!) and a lock of Lady Gaga’s hair(…).

For anyone who hasn't heard yet, Paris makes sure you get that leopard print is really in right now. And that she still knows nothing about style and class.

Pink and Shakira arrived to the show wearing the same dress. Every woman's nightmare! And of course now everyone has to talk about who wore it better. In my opinion, it was Pink. Shakira’s hair looked amazing, but the horrendous leather boots and the leather clutch were just too much. Pink kept it nice and simple.

But still, it happens. And I'm glad she can laugh it off.

Q: Who's your favourite British designer?

LA: I like Giles Deacon a lot. He did the dead Bambi dress I wore for the GLAMOUR awards. The irony of turning up in a decapitated Bambi dress and ending up looking like one! I've never worn that dress again. (Glamour UK March 2009)

First of all, her face and hair are flawless. The jewellery is amazing, but a bit too much for me. I wish she had chosen either the hairband or the necklace, because they both stand out. The thing that is overshadowing both of them, though – and not in a good way – is the dress. I wish I could just rip off the weird white fabric and the cheap-looking belt. Without them, she’d look gorgeous. I’d even let her keep both the headband and the necklace. Because I love her.

No. Too many different patterns and too many too different hues of blue. The hat, the shirt and the skirt all look okay, but should always be worn separately. And the scarf is utterly pointless. But I like the shoes.

Honestly, I don’t like this outfit at all. Separately the pieces aren’t that bad – although I probably wouldn’t buy them. Even if they were on sale. With this dress, the hairpiece is just… wrong. The handles of her bag are a slightly (/totally painfully!) different shade of pink than her belt. But the dialogue between her and Serena was worth having to see these clothes.
