London shopping

A while ago, I was in London, and now I finally got round to writing a post about it (woo!). It was a business trip, but because of how well it went I decided to hit the shops afterwards to celebrate.
So I bought a few lovely, if predictable things from the newsagent's,H&M,and Topshop. But then I realised these everyday purchases weren't enough. And to really mark the occasion I'd have to get myself something special. Luckily, I found just the thing in Topshop - this amazingly creepy (crawly) necklace:What I really loved about London (apart from, you know, London) was how many people I saw with pink and blue hair. And I didn't even make it to Camden this time! Most of them were on Oxford Street.
Which reminds me... in case you didn't know, my hair looks like this now:

Shopping

I am on a roll today!
But don't expect any posts next week; I shall be cramming for my worst (but last, woo!) exam then.
Anyway, I went shopping yesterday, and here's what I bought. The umbrella and the eyeshadow kit are from H&M, the rest is from Primark. I was only going to town to accompany a friend, and just planning to get concealer and cosmetic pads from Boots, but I shockingly came back with bags full of flowers and bows and the colour pink.
Which seems to prove that, sadly, I'll never be able to fully embrace androgynous style. I just can't function without my girly fix. Because, look how cute!

But I want those: Modcloth (3)

But I already have it

This Tom Binns silver-plated Swarovski crystal safety pin necklace looks kind of familiar
Except mine’s more interesting, ha.

Mag bits

There isn’t much shopping to be done in a tiny town like Chambéry, so I mostly bought magazines. Here are some nice – and not so nice – things I found in them:
Glamour France August 2010:
I kind of wish I hadn’t seen some of the before pictures of now-stylish celebrities.
And that I’d have only seen the earlier style of others. Mischa used to look so utterly stylish!+ Everything about this look. From the car to the sunglasses. Want. + These Prada glasses, and that I’m not the only one who likes them. Also, that I’m not the only one who is less than thrilled about the idea of more SATC films.
InStyle UK July 2010:
Oh no. I’ve been behind many of your crazy style choices, Rihanna, but a bum bag (/fanny pack) is really taking it too far. + Snake photographs by Guido Mocafico on the wall in Elton John’s LA home. Loving these! Also kind of enjoying the thought of how they’d freak out some of my friends. (That’s just the kind of person I am, I suppose.)
+ Nicholas Kirkwood leather and snakeskin stilettos – yes, please. + Also yes to this Dune necklace. + In my opinion, Kaya Scodelario is one of the prettiest girls ever. On Skins both with her slutty party make-up and a completely clean-faced look, and also in this spread. The lingerie she’s wearing is lovely too. A style article on Mischa Barton. A few years too late, don't you think? Have you seen her recently?
+ Good advice!
Cosmopolitan France July 2010:
+ This pretty passport cover from lesinvasionsephemeres.com.
+ These adorable USB sticks!
+ …or rather these. The animal ones look super cute, but these have a slightly more professional air to them.
I find this Nivea Calm&Care deodorant ad quite disturbing.
+ I love basically all the Miu Miu shoes from that collection, but these are among my favourites.
