King's Cross

"This is King's Cross St Pancras, change for the Circle, Hammersmith & City, Metropolitan, Northern and Victoria line, national and international rail services. This is a Piccadilly Line service to Cockfosters" ;)

"St Pancras train station was designed by William Barlow in 1863 with construction commencing in 1866. The famous Barlow train shed arch spans 240 feet and is over 100 feet high at its apex. On its completion in 1868 it became the largest enclosed space in the world."

Versailles

Le Château de Versailles - Patrimônio Mundial tombado pela Unesco construído por ordem do Rei Sol Luís XIV é o símbolo da era absolutista, "simultaneamente incomensurável e harmônico", representava o grande poder econômico e político da realeza francesa nos séculos XVII e XVIII.

Tão extravagante quanto o rei... possui 700 quartos, 2 mil janelas, mais de 1000 lareiras e o parque que envolve o palácio têm, aproximadamente, 700 hectares. Uma maravilha da arquitetura e decoração clássica!

Vale a pena uma visita, um dia inteiro passeando pelo palácio e seus jardins, comendo macarons... un retour vers le passé *-*
