I went a little while trying to figure something to post cuz im totaly out of ideas (btw, if u guys have any ;)... so i decided to teach how to Hydrate hair at home, cuz, after all, hydrating hair at saloon isnt that cheap and sometimes u just cant afford them , u know? -For the girls living close to me at São Paulo/ Brazil, check out my promotions this months of combos of hydrations ;)
De qualquer forma, vamos ao que interessa:
Washing: its always necessary to clean the hair to begin the process. Wash the hair and spec. the scalp, the way i told u on the post "Dos and Don'ts. ". Dont go crazy with it, remember? Another thing: its not always necessary to use a anti-residues shampoo. I have a problem with shampoos that are very alcaline, sometimes more than needed. A good anti-resudues shampoo has a neutral pH or slightly above 7. More than that, no way! the physiological pH of the hair is between 4.5 and 5 -that would be a neutral to the hair (above=opens the cuticle and under=closes). Always look the ph before buying a shampoo. And the ideal is that it opens the cuticles of your hair, each hair is a different hair, you know? then find a good shampoo that is right for you.
Hair Masks: The choice of a hair mask is something super important and also personal, not all work well for all hair types. either way, look for one that is acid or have the physiological pH of the hair, and one specifically for your hair type. The good about the saloon is that the hairdresser knows what your hair needs (at least I knowdo;) just looking atit. If you have thinning hair, the type of mask is an Age-densiforce to give body or a body builder. Keratin is also nice to use to fill the hair. IF the problem is color, use one to hold the color in or to moisturize the hair (that has been chemically treated); If you have a light shade hair and want to tone it: blue or green masks ... and so it goes;) If your hair is healthy, try a moisturizing mask once every15 days. And do not forget that too much keratin is not good for the hair: only every 15 days ok, no more;) because it penetrates into the hair and, cuz the keratin fills and hardens it, it loses its elasticity and breaks, you know?

Do not forget to never put ur hand in the mask -cuz it alters the ph, ok?
Application: Separate the hair into sections if it is long, and massage strand by strand, until you feel thatthemask has spread well through the hair. dont use a comb for it, use the hands! The pressure and frictionallow the hair ask to penetrate the hair.
Tempo: normalmente as máscaras profissionais dizem 5minutos.
Time: usually professional hair masks say 5 minutes. But these 5 minutes are under heat! i dont mean thermal caps , I mean head dryers and heat caps, ok? then let a 10 or 15 if you use caps. But it is not necessary to leave more than that, the mask simply will not do much more than it did in that time and will only let your hair more oily. Some mask weigh on the hair more: be careful not to apply them in the scalp (actually, u shouldnt apply any masks on the scalp, unless they aremeant to it), this can cause a some irritantion...
Finalizing hair: if ur hair isnt so damaged, u can always use heat to close the cuticles. blow dry it with a comb or brush and, if u want, use a flat iron. If not, just put on a good leave-in ;)
Xoxo
