Just spent four days at the annual conference of AIESEC Estonia and am now pumped full of all kinds of motivation to achieve… anything, really! Starting from now, I’ll write down my goals, start daily rituals, manage all my time effectively and choose concentrating over multitasking. Hopefully. No, definitely!
But our conferences are not just about speeches and success stories and life lessons. Au contraire. Luckily I happened to choose an incredibly fun organisation that shares my love for wild parties that include costumes, drinking games and addictive dances.
On Thursday night the theme was “Bride & Groom”.
I decided against a wedding dress because I didn’t really have anything appropriate in my closet. And as I was certain almost all the girls would be wearing white dresses, the nonconformist inside me urged me to go in another direction. So what’s the opposite of bride? Obvious, innit.

I asked my brother’s thoughts on the costume the previous day because I can count on him not to sugar-coat the truth. And he really didn’t. He said I’d only embarrass myself since I’d so obviously misunderstood the theme. I was supposed to dress up as a bride, not a transvestite. When I revealed I was also planning to draw a little moustache on, he thought I’d lost it completely. So he was forced to admit that compared to the moustache idea, the outfit itself wasn’t entirely horrible.
