I watched the teen sitcom The Inbetweeners this weekend. Short episodes and only six of them per season – perfect for my study-filled schedule.
It’s sort of like the British version of American Pie or Superbad or something, except less lame and more realistic. And really funny.As the main characters are a group of not particularly original or stylish guys, the only fashion inspiration I’ve gained is Jay’s short tie.
It’s a way of wearing school uniform while still looking a bit cheeky.
He’s my favourite on the show, although in real life I’d probably loathe him. He’s terribly misogynistic and, oh yeah, fucking disgusting, but a character with the meanest jokes and slight mental problems is far more interesting than the nerd, the idiot or the one who’s in love. But actually they’re all likeable and believable as characters.
Luckily mine weren’t quite as embarrassing. That would have been really sad. But it’s so much fun to watch! And it makes me a bit nostalgic. Ah, being picked up by parents after house parties, taking the driving test, going on school field trips, coming up with plans on how to get served alcohol… But yeah, life’s even better now.
