Hair New Era

This is the look I'm using in my last outfit of the day and my November favorites. I'm always attracted to teals/blues when I buy eyeshadows but I barely use them because sometimes blues can be too much! But I bought the Urban Decay NYC Palette [I'll put up pictures later] and I loooove Haight Eyeshadow. It's just a simple teal smokey look! I can't remember what color lipstick I'm wearing though -___- lol

I really liked how this FOTD came out! Ugh but I keep forgetting to take pictures of my eyes CLOSED so you can actually see it. If you really wanna see it I'll do it again and take pics lol. My sister curled my hair because for some reason I cannot curl my own hair for the life of me! I'm really happy with this look especially since I used Magnetic Fields E/S from the Neo Sci-Fi collection - I never use this!

I should post up what eyeshadows I have then you guys can pick which ones you wanna see in my FOTD! lol I am using my greens but Plumage is a really dark green and it looks like a regular smokey eye because my flash is really bright. =[ Hopefully you guys can still see it though! Last night I depotted a couple of my eyeshadows and I finally filled up my Green Palette! =] I love seeing a full palette! But it made me realize how much I neglect my green e/s because there's barely a dent in any of them. For this FOTD I used all greens and I didn't even use Carbon! yayy I used Aquavert from the Sugarsweet Collection [originally from Lure collection] & Flourishing from the Matte2 collection [now DC] plus Bio Green which is a pro color. Aquavert was one of the colors I depotted and I looove this color. It's such a pretty minty green color I think it looks great as a lid color. Hope you like it!

Last night the hubby, sister, her bf, & I went to watch Bruno! It had it's parts and it was really funny but it's really graphic! If you're homophobic DO NOT watch it! There were so many guys who had to leave the movie theater cause they couldn't take it! But here's the look I was wearing out. It's more of a natural/smokey look since I don't do very many of those. (You know I love my colors!) My hair is suuuper wavy! I always straighten my hair but this is what it ends up looking like after I shower, brush it once, and let it dry. Hella wavy beach hair!

Step-by-step!
1. Prime lids with primer [I used UDPP]
2. Line eyes with pencil liner. [Graphblack Technakohl] Line entire perimeter of eye incl water line, etc. Smudge out liner on eyelid. I made my line thick so it would be smokier
3. Apply bronzey brown eye shadow all over lid.
4. Apply highlighter. BLEND!!! No harsh lines please!
5. Apply eyeliner, mascara, re-do water line and you're done! =]

See how easy? lol

Primed lids with Painterly paint pot


apply Delft paint pot on lid a little over the crease


using a MAC 239 brush, pack Slately Black E/S. You may have to keep packing it on because Slately Black isn't very pigmented, but the color is gorgeous!


using a MAC 217 brush, apply Too Dolly E/S in the crease


apply Yogurt E/S as higlight, line with 266 & Blacktrack Fluidline, and apply mascara!

I did this EOTD a few weeks ago and I forgot to post it! It's kind of dramatic for me but I kind of like it! I think it's a good night look. I'm posting this as an EOTD cause I can't remember everything else on my face! LOL I only used 3 colors on this. I didn't have a nice 'smokey purple' color so I used Nocturnelle & tried to put Carbon over it to darken the color then used more Carbon to deepen the crease.

I didn't dress up for Halloween this year because the hubby convinced me not to spend money on a costume! I really wanted to though! I ended up not going out anyway but I went to a party the night after and decided I would just do pretty make up. LOL I totally suck at the smoky eyes, but this one came out reallly nice (considering how bad it usually does!) so I was excited! I'm not wearing a lippie in the picture cause it smudged off but I just put what I originally had on.

I asked the MUA for a smokey look when I went for my COC appointment and she basically gave me the Cherry Blossom MAC face chart! lol At first I didn't like it - I'm not used to smokey eyes but it was actually really nice! It was wearable during the day and I didn't need to do anything to switch it to a night look! =]

I asked her to color match me too because I've never been color matched at MAC. I'm skeptical about their foundations though because I've heard that they make you break out and I'm really prone to break out when I try new foundations. So far mineral foundation has worked for me but the powder is so messy. She suggested the Mineralize Satinfinish. I'm skeptical about liquid foundation too because my t-zone gets SUUPER oily as the day goes by especially since its 90+ degrees here all the time. But suprisingly, the foundation wasn't that bad. I kind of itched a little and I did feel like my face melted a little at the end of the day, but my t-zone wasn't as oily as I thought it would be. I'm still not sure if I should actually buy it though. Maybe in the winter when it's a lot colder and my face tends to get drier. I can't believe I'm an NC45! haha I'm so dark ohwell it really matched my skin well though.

The MUA was really helpful - I know it's their job - but she was sweet and I asked her soo many questions lol. She showed me how to use the matte blush in Strada to contour my face, I looooved it! I've been trying to contour but it doesn't come out right LOL
