Spring Hair Styles ideas for 2011

My choice of styles for 2011

Spring & Summer around the corner. Yes! It has been a long winter but the thought of nice weather makes me think about new, cute hair styles ideas! To be honest I was never into braids but I think it is kinda growing on me. This pics that I keep seeing on magazines with braids are fabulous. My naked eye sees BRAIDS WITH A TWIST OF STYLE. I think it can be worn out in day time for shopping or even at night for a classy dinner.  What you think?

Fishbone Piggies

Thanks everyone for being so patient with me. It was so nice to hear everyone who likes my ideas. It sure gives me incentive to keep 'em coming! I am sorry I have really let this blog go... I guess being PTA President and mom to six is more time consuming than I thought it would be! As a thank you, I have a giveaway coming right up for all you faithful followers....

Now, on to the long awaited hairstyle (I sure hope I don't diappoint. And I apologize if it's already been done somewhere else already. ;P In my busy life, I haven't been keeping up on all the other fabulous hair blogs.)........

When my daughter wears her hair like this, people stop her and try to figure out how it is done. It really is easier than you'd think. And it happened quite by accident one day, but I love the result more than what I had originally intended.....

Palm Trees

This is my fallback with my oldest daughter. She calls them palm trees. Although since we chopped her hair last spring (Huge mistake!) I haven't been able to do it the same. Usually I do two braids (Laura Ingalls braids as I call them) ending a little sooner than normal (Secure the ends with a small silicone elastic.) Then I take each braid, fold it in half, and secure it with a large ponytail holder. I use my flat iron to curl the ends over. This time, I used three braids on each side- it really helps cut down on the bulkiness of the braid since her hair is so thick. When it was long, it wasn't a problem. But I thought this turned out cute. I am glad her hair is finally getting long enough to do some of these 'old standbys'.
