Many of you all know that I am mother. I became pregnant at 17 and had my daughter at 18. So, yes, I am a "Teen Mom." Angela, over at WiseCurls.com asked if I'd be willing to share my story with her blog readers, OF COURSE I jumped at the opportunity. Mainly because so many young women who become mothers young, feel like they have no options and that their lives are over. I am living proof that that's false. Now, I in no way, shape or form condone teen pregnancy, WRAP IT UP and use contraception if you are sexually active! Sexual health is important. I know that talking about sex and pregnancy is a touchy subject in America but it's real. I have stated many times that I should have waited before having a child but life has a way of teaching us valuable lessons.
