ReUse Republic in Tartu

Right now I’m saving money for the next academic year by not buying anything that isn’t absolutely necessary for survival. You’d be surprised how well I’ve been doing despite not been shopping in ages and only getting the essential groceries.
But then I found out that ReUse Republic is coming to Tartu. As older readers might know, I love this project. So I was totally gutted and decided not to go so I wouldn’t be tempted to buy anything.
But then I read on its Facebook page that they’re having a contest: send pictures of stuff you’ve yourself redesigned and the winner gets a 500 EEK gift certificate. I uploaded a couple of pictures and won, yay! Money for old rope.
So I went and obviously ended up spending a bit more than that, but I’m certainly pleased.
Here's what I bought:
Shorts by Kristi Pedanik: Ear cuff and ring by Anni Jürgenson:
Earrings - made of old vinyls! - Picture from elu24.ee
by Mari Martin and Helen Sirp:
(I'll choose sea creatures over ballerinas any day.)
