Inspiration collection: Fashionable fur

I grew up in such untroubled circumstances that one of my worst childhood traumas was my gran once giving my brother a puzzle as a gift “for his sister’s birthday”. (My birthday! Who does that?! You aren’t entitled to gifts on someone else’s birthday! But he’s always been her favourite. Even though he can never be bothered to help her out around the house so it’s me who's cleaning her windows and putting up her curtains and sewing her pillowcases. But I’m over it, whatever.) My other notable traumas include not having any of the “must-have” toys that everyone else at school had – a Tamagotchi, a Furby etc. And I was probably the last one in our class to get a mobile. Poor little rich girl, right?
Anyway, a Furby would make a nice accessory now that (faux) fur is all the rage in the fashion world. It’s okay though, I have my own share of fierce furry things, including a jacket I bought in a charity shop this week. I’ll take some pictures and show you what it’s like in a few days. It’s pink(!), cost about as much as two fashion magazines and looks almost as if it was grabbed straight from the runway or a photo shoot. So basically something like this:by Magnus Magnusson
Alla Kostromicheva by Sebastian Kim for Numéro (#108)
Constance Jablonski by KT Auleta for Vogue Russia (November 2009)
Jourdan Dunn by Emma Summerton for i-D
Hanne Gaby Odiele by Magnus Unnar

Skye Stracke by Jock Sturges for Marie Claire Italy (November 2009)
Laura Blokhina by Hasse Nielsen for Harper’s Bazaar Russia (October 2009)
